We are excited to announce that we are working on a new website for Alexandria Manor. Alexandria Manor is a family owned and operated senior living center with 3 Lehigh Valley, PA locations including centers in Bethlehem, Bath, and Nazareth. The new website will house some general information as well as give further insight to each of the 3 locations. Further, we are thrilled that our friends at Shufflebox Productions are putting together a short video tour for each location. Any Playstation 3 owner who uses their system regularly should be aware that the Playstation Network was recently hacked and has been down for quite some time now. With the network getting hacked, it potentially allowed the hackers access to user information and history, which of course is unfavorable. Further, with the network down users are unable to play games online and are limited to playing single player, non-online games.

Video on the web has become increasingly prominent. Our good friends over at Shufflebox Productions create awesome commercials, corporate videos, and other video needs for their clients. They have a great vision and a modern feel to their work. We took some time with the guys at Shufflebox to ask them a few questions that may be beneficial to our clients and anyone looking to get videos made for their businesses.

WordPress is a great tool which allows clients to maintain the content of their websites easily and efficiently. As long as you have the internet, you can log into your website, update your content, and be on your way. The WordPress iPhone / iPad app helps to make it easy to update your website on the fly, whether you’re in the office or out to lunch.

If it has been a while since you’ve analyzed the message of your website, you may want devote some time to critiquing your content. It becomes very easy to let your website sit and get outdated. Regardless of what you’re offering users (product, service, etc.), your message needs to make a point as well as make it easy for people to take the next step. Having outdated content does just the opposite.

We have been fortunate enough to work with many diverse businesses since we’ve opened the doors here at J Taylor Design. Ranging from lawyers, to hair salons, to fitness trainers, we’ve enjoyed working with different types of people and personalities from all over.

Recently I’ve been taking some fitness classes from one of our fitness trainer clients. He runs a few different fitness businesses underneath his Advanced X Training umbrella including Tuff Camp, Advanced Personal Training and CrossFit Advanced. I’ve been taking the CrossFit classes. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from the classes before signing up to take them. I knew that they were high intensity workouts that would challenge me, but that’s about it. I’m now in my 4th week or so of classes and I’m pretty hooked. There is something definitely special about CrossFit. However, that’s not what this article is about.

We were recently hired to design a website for the Law Offices of Elissa Waldron, a Lehigh Valley firm who provides services in the area of domestic relations law. Working on this project has been great as Elissa and her team are forward thinking. They simply wanted a modern site that is both dynamic and user friendly. They didn’t have too much branding in place, so we were able to help finalize a logo and color scheme before starting the site. After working on some business card layouts, we quickly jumped into the website layout. We’re very excited about how things turned out.

Sometimes new clients find us because they’ve been let down by an old design company that they’ve been working with. Usually the reasons are the other design company hasn’t met deadlines, is unresponsive to calls or emails, and / or makes promises they cannot keep. Those items are unacceptable, especially in terms of running a business, retaining clients, and productivity. We pride ourselves on transparency, meaning that we strive to be as open and honest as possible.
