The Challenge, If You Choose To Accept

Our good friends over at CrossFit Advanced have put together a challenge coined 115 Royal Burpee Challenge, which will start February 11th and go through June 4th. The challenge is simple (well, explaining it is the simple part). Starting February 11th, do one burpee. Add one each day until June 4th, where the final day requires 115 burpees. So on February 12th, do 2 burpees. February 13th would be 3 burpees, and so on.

Pay It Forward by Lucky Girl Gifts

I know that we have mentioned it before, but we have some great clients here at J Taylor Design. One of those shining stars is Lucky Girl Jewelry & Gifts.

Through December, Lucky Girl is running a Pay It Forward campaign where they are giving away gifts each Friday. The cool part is that the winner cannot keep the gift for themselves, or give it as a typical gift to someone (ex: for Christmas or a birthday). The gift must be given when it is least expected.

Beware Bogus Website Bills

Today we got a bill in the mail from a web listing provider noting an annual listing submission that needed to be paid. We quickly recognized that this was a bogus bill that we had never signed up for. Unfortunately, invoices like this are not all that uncommon and it becomes important to know what bills are legitimate.

Know Your Provider

Know where your website hosting and domain name(s) are purchased from. If you are familiar with whom you are supposed to be paying, you will be able to detect actual bills from the bogus ones. If you are not sure if a bill is real or not, ask your web design company.

Our Thoughts on Adobe Fireworks

A few weeks ago, we were asked to answer a few questions regarding Adobe Fireworks for Fireworks Interviews. Any designer friends of ours knows that we are proud advocates for the program. It offers some nice flexibility that other programs do not.

Taking the responsible approach

As with most things in life, technology is always changing, which includes the way websites are designed and built. We touched upon this topic at the beginning of the year. It is important to critique your website frequently to make sure you are promoting the best possible message you can to your clients and potential customers.

New Handsome Gorgeous Tees and Tanks

Did you know that we run a small, small, small (did I mention small) clothing line? It is purely for fun and to get some extra creativity out there. We started it during college and have just been too nostalgic to let it go.
